Paula is a photographer based in Japan. Born and raised in Barcelona, Paula’s appreciation for the arts started at a young age due to the influence of her mother, a Japanese oil painter.  After a brief stint in London, Paula finally moved to and settled in Tokyo. While undertaking her doctorate in Japanese Art History, she became associated with and developed knowledge about photography. It was then that she began to display an interest in photography as an artistic expression.

She studied at the Nippon Photography Institute and worked as an intern at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography. In 2012 she will join an artist-in-residence program in Reykjavik.
